The Virginia-North Carolina Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation strives for diversification of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workforce, with an emphasis on increasing the number of underrepresented minority students earning baccalaureate degrees and matriculating to graduate school. If you are a STEM student at one of partner schools (see list below), please complete this initial application form to become a member of the VA-NC Alliance. Then a faculty or staff person at your home institution will follow up with you about criteria to participate and completion of the application process. VA-NC Alliance partner schools include: Bennet College, Elizabeth City State University, George Mason University, Johnson C. Smith University, Old Dominion University, Piedmont Virginia Community College, Saint Augustine’s University, Thomas Nelson Community College, University of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University, and Virginia Tech.
