Bridge to the Doctorate:

Alliance students are eligible to apply for Bridge to the Doctorate (BD) programs which provide up to two years of funding for graduate school.  Conduct regular internet searches to identify new BD sites funded by the National Science Foundation. Click here for a report on the National Science Foundation's 2010-2011 Bridge to the Doctorate program. Sites that are anticipated to sponsor a new cohort of BD students are listed below. Check the corresponding links periodically for updated information on application procedures and deadlines. **Many of the following BD sites have rolling admissions and will accept applications until the position(s) are filled. Students are therefore encouraged to contact the program directors even if you have missed the deadline.

By participating in these workshops, students develop a better understanding of the graduate school application process and they have the opportunity to complete at least one graduate school application.
